Main goal of organization: OPALGA’s mission is to improve the quality of life and to empower lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) residents of the area through communication, education, participation, celebration and understanding, thereby incorporating our unique strengths and values into everyday life. OPALGA strives to foster a communitywide understanding of the issues that LGBT people face through direct outreach and interaction with local communitywide organizations.
